City Council Approves Key Ordinances to Drive Growth

During a recent government meeting, the Planning and Zoning Committee approved Ordinance 2024-48 with a unanimous vote of six to zero. The ordinance, which has garnered mixed feedback from residents, is seen as a significant project for the city of Tallmadge. The Safety Committee reported no new items but addressed ongoing concerns regarding a senior living facility project on the Tallmadge-Brimfield border, with updates pending from local officials. Meanwhile, the Public Service Committee reviewed a resolution supporting the expansion of Amtrak service in the Akron-Canton region, aiming to ensure the area is considered in future funding discussions.
