Mayor calls for solidarity amid ongoing Gaza crisis

In a recent government meeting, the mayor addressed the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza, expressing deep concern for those affected by violence, including the murdered, wounded, and displaced individuals, as well as hostages. The mayor emphasized the importance of solidarity with affected families in Highland Park, Israel, and globally, calling for the safe return of all hostages.

The meeting also included the announcement of four key appointments to advisory groups, effective from July 30, 2024, through December 31, 2026. Chris Falcon was appointed as chair of the Business and Economic Development Advisory Group, while Stephanie Kirch will serve as vice chair. Additionally, William Thompson and Danielle Floss were appointed to the Transportation Advisory Group.
