City honors sanitation heroes for storm recovery efforts

During the Garland City Council meeting on December 10, 2024, the council recognized the outstanding efforts of the sanitation department and a dedicated fire lieutenant for their service to the community.

The sanitation department was honored with the Garland Public Servant Award for their exceptional work in the aftermath of the May 28 storm, which resulted in significant debris removal.
