Meanwhile, Police Chief Doug Terrone addressed a recent concern about a potential skimmer at a local gas station. He confirmed that after a thorough investigation, no skimmers were found, and emphasized the importance of reporting such incidents directly to the police rather than through social media. He highlighted the negative impact that unfounded rumors can have on local businesses, citing a 50% revenue drop for the gas station involved during the incident.

The meeting also included a reminder about the upcoming Brookville block party and craft fair scheduled for June 15, where the police department will assist with traffic management.
