Community mourns beloved teacher and dedicated mentor

During a recent government meeting, attendees honored the memory of Miss Peggy Baldwin, a cherished educator who dedicated 47 years to the Florida Education System. Baldwin, who passed away on June 8, 2024, was remembered for her warmth and wisdom, having positively impacted countless students and colleagues throughout her career from July 1987 to June 2008. A moment of silence was observed in her honor.

The meeting also recognized Miss Melanie Tingler, who has served the district for 34 years, including three years as a substitute teacher. Known for her unwavering commitment, Tingler has taken on various roles and responsibilities, often stepping in to support her colleagues and students. Her dedication was highlighted by her efforts to provide food, clothing, and financial assistance to students in need. As she prepares for retirement, her contributions to the Harris County community were celebrated, with heartfelt wishes for her future happiness and success.
