Seminole County Schools leads state in STEM excellence

Seminole County Public Schools has achieved a remarkable milestone by being ranked number one in the state for STEM career preparation. This recognition highlights the district's commitment to fostering excellence in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics education.

During a recent meeting, the school board celebrated students who have excelled in original science research and engineering design projects. Although some students were unable to attend, their achievements were acknowledged, and their names and projects were shared with the audience.

Among those recognized was Rowan Fedora from Jackson Heights Middle School, who was invited to join the board alongside family members to celebrate this accomplishment. The event underscored the importance of creativity and ingenuity in STEM education, reinforcing the district's dedication to preparing students for future careers in these critical fields.
