Library unveils exciting summer programs for all ages

The upcoming July programming at the local library promises a diverse array of activities aimed at both children and adults, emphasizing community engagement and educational opportunities. All events require pre-registration due to limited attendance, which can be done either in person at the library or online at visit.lacounty.org/events.

Kicking off the month, a six-week \"Smarty Pants Story Time\" session for children aged 2 to 5 will begin on July 5, featuring songs, books, and movement activities designed to promote school readiness. On July 6, a representative from the Children Passenger Safety program will be available to answer questions about child safety in vehicles.

For adults, a \"Cocoa Coir Planter\" workshop on July 9 will teach participants how to create environmentally friendly planters from coconut husks, while a \"Smart Gardening Workshop\" on July 13 will cover essential gardening techniques, including composting and water-wise practices.

Children aged 6 to 13 can participate in an anime art program on July 10, led by artist Carlos Nieto III, who will guide attendees through character design and animation techniques.
