Graduation ceremony celebrates resilience and achievement of class of 2024

The Jon M. Huntsman Center at the University of Utah was the venue for the 2024 East High Graduation Ceremony, where safety protocols were emphasized for attendees. In the event of an evacuation, guests were instructed to follow specific guidelines to exit the facility calmly, with security personnel available to assist.

Principal Pam Pedersen opened the ceremony, celebrating the achievements of the graduating class of 2024. She acknowledged the presence of East High School's administration, including assistant principals and board members from the Salt Lake City School District, highlighting the collaborative effort in supporting the students throughout their high school journey.

The ceremony featured performances by the East High String Orchestra and a reminder to attendees about the prohibition of confetti cannons, which incur significant costs. Principal Pedersen encouraged the audience to express their excitement through cheers and applause instead.
