Fishing Derby Set to Hook Community with Prizes and Fun

In preparation for the upcoming fishing derby, organizers announced the release of £500 worth of channel catfish into the local lake. The fish will be tagged with different colored tags, with approximately 75 to 100 fish set to be marked. Participants in the derby, which begins at 5:30 PM on Friday, will have the opportunity to win prizes by catching these tagged fish.

Registration for the event will start at 5 PM on Thursday, with volunteers available to assist attendees in completing their registration forms. Notably, there is no fee to participate in the derby, although all participants must be registered to join in the fishing activities.

To ensure a fair competition, fishing will be prohibited until the official start of the derby. This initiative aims to engage the community and promote local fishing activities while providing an exciting opportunity for participants to win prizes.
