Residents of Castleberry voiced their concerns during a recent government meeting, highlighting issues related to local infrastructure and community safety.

One resident, who has lived on Park Avenue for two decades, expressed frustration over a FEMA operation set up nearby, which has caused significant noise and debris during hurricane seasons. The resident urged local officials to consider relocating the FEMA operation to minimize disruption to the neighborhood, citing health concerns related to airborne debris and the constant noise from machinery.

Another resident, Celeste Balser, raised questions about the planned closure of Palm Drive for a greenway project. She noted that many residents were unaware of the changes and expressed concern about access to their driveways. Balser suggested that the existing biking path could be extended instead of closing the road, as it would better serve the community's needs.

David Thompson, a resident who described himself as the \"town fool,\" shared his struggles in seeking assistance from local authorities, feeling dismissed and unheard. He emphasized the need for better communication and support from the government, particularly for those with unique challenges.

Karen Holbert echoed Balser's sentiments regarding the Palm Drive project, stating that the community had not been adequately informed and that the proposed changes would not serve the needs of local families.
