Community rallies for annual Stuff the Bus event

Notably, the transition from Sodexo to Chartwell for food services has been progressing smoothly, with employee conversions completed and inventory checks underway.

The Battleground Education Foundation highlighted its mission to raise funds for various educational causes. A significant announcement was the establishment of the Grace Wexler Scholarship, honoring the memory of a beloved high school counselor. This scholarship aims to support students in their educational pursuits.

Additionally, the foundation is organizing its annual \"Stuff the Bus\" event, which encourages community members to donate school supplies and personal hygiene items for students. Scheduled for Saturday, August 17, from 10 AM to 2 PM at local Walmart and Fred Meyer locations, volunteers will assist shoppers in selecting needed items. The foundation is also hosting a fundraiser at Menchie's on the same day, where 20% of sales will benefit their initiatives.
