Community leaders rally for vital Kula land acquisition

During a recent government meeting, community leaders voiced their support for key resolutions aimed at enhancing local infrastructure and addressing the aftermath of the Maui fires. Doug Sheehan, vice president of the Kula Community Association, expressed gratitude for the council's efforts and highlighted the importance of Resolution 24 126, which proposes the purchase of seven acres for the Kula Community Center. Sheehan emphasized that this acquisition is vital for the local community, which heavily utilizes the center, and thanked Council Member Yukilei Sugimura and the von Temsky family for their roles in making this possible.
