In a separate agenda item, the committee discussed the appointment of Marcy Martin as the new director of the Department of Finance. Mayor Richard Basin endorsed her candidacy, citing her extensive experience within the department and her commitment to effective management during challenging times. Martin, who has served in various leadership roles over her 25-year career, expressed her readiness to take on the responsibilities of the position.
