El Dorado County Fair promises excitement and community spirit

During a recent government meeting, officials proclaimed the upcoming El Dorado County Fair Week, highlighting its significance to the community and its rich history dating back to 1859. The 2024 theme, \"Barrows, Boots, and Bling,\" aims to celebrate the county's agricultural heritage and the talents of its residents, particularly the youth involved in agriculture and livestock programs.

The fair serves as a platform for showcasing diverse accomplishments through partnerships with local organizations, including the El Dorado County Office of Education, Future Farmers of America, and the University of California Cooperative Extension. These collaborations enhance educational opportunities, featuring exhibits from the El Dorado County Historical Museum, demonstrations by master gardeners, and the Junior Livestock Auction.
