Traffic stops surge as crime rates rise

In a recent government meeting, law enforcement officials provided a detailed overview of crime statistics for the month of July. The department conducted a total of 927 traffic stops, resulting in 436 citations issued. Additionally, they responded to 55,100 calls for service, highlighting the high demand for police assistance in the community.

The report also noted that officers handled 40 traffic collisions during the month. In terms of property crimes, there were five reported incidents of breaking and entering, three cases of vehicle break-ins, and two motor vehicle thefts. These figures reflect ongoing challenges in maintaining public safety and addressing crime in the area.
