New furniture store revitalizes historic Taylor Feed Supply

In a recent government meeting, local entrepreneurs Amanda Feeley and her business partner announced the reopening of the historic Taylor Feed Store on Talbot Street, following extensive renovations aimed at revitalizing the building and its significance in the community. The store has adjusted its hours to better serve residents, now operating Tuesday through Friday from 8 AM to 6 PM and Saturday until 2 PM.

Feeley emphasized their commitment to the community by reintroducing previous vendors and enhancing the store's offerings. Alongside the feed supply store, they have launched a new mattress and furniture clearance center, BoxDrop Taylor, which promises significant savings of 40 to 80% off retail prices by sourcing directly from manufacturers. The center features a range of products, including sofas, sectionals, and bedroom furniture, addressing the need for affordable home goods in the area.

The entrepreneurs expressed gratitude to city officials, including Fire Marshal Bobby Copeland and others, for their support throughout the establishment process, which began in January. They encouraged community members to visit the newly opened businesses and engage with local offerings, reinforcing the importance of supporting small businesses in the area.
