City seeks funding boost for vital housing programs

In a separate segment, Cindy Garcia, the volunteer coordinator for Meals on Wheels of Odessa, expressed gratitude for ongoing support while detailing their service to the community. The program currently provides approximately 725 meals daily to homebound seniors and disabled individuals, operating Monday through Friday. Garcia highlighted the program's commitment to serving all demographics equitably, although specific tracking of racial or ethnic data was not available.
