City officials push for urgent funding to fix sinkholes

Additionally, funding was allocated for multiple sinkhole repairs, with costs ranging from $63,500 to $192,000. The priority for addressing these sinkholes will be determined based on design perspectives, utilizing ARPA funding, with further prioritization to follow from the chapter 90 or road maintenance funds.

A discussion ensued regarding the prioritization of design funds, particularly whether to allocate resources for sidewalk design on Pine Hill Road. The conversation highlighted the need for careful consideration of funding distribution to ensure critical infrastructure needs are met effectively.
