He described the situation as a potential tragedy waiting to happen, citing the presence of children in the area and the inadequacy of existing stop signs, which are faded and not meeting current visibility standards. The council discussed the possibility of converting the intersection to an all-way stop to improve safety and agreed to conduct a traffic study to evaluate the situation further.
