One speaker raised concerns about a sermon delivered by Emmanuel Baptist Church, which reportedly warned the community against a group called the Fair Mavens, described as a \"far left political religious sexist group.\" The speaker claimed that the Fair Mavens have a small following of about 150 to 300 individuals, including members identified as witches, and questioned the financial backing of their local churches, which he noted have large buildings but limited attendance. He urged the community to scrutinize the group's funding sources and influence.

In contrast, Erica Madison, an executive officer with Owasso Pride, shared positive feedback about the recent bridal weekend event held from June 21 to June 23. She highlighted a successful teen hangout organized in collaboration with the First Congregational Church, which attracted visitors from as far as Portland, Michigan. Madison also mentioned a bridal talk that featured local educators and mental health professionals, emphasizing the community's engagement and support for diverse events.
