Library launches innovative program to lend nontraditional items

During a recent government meeting, officials highlighted several community-focused initiatives aimed at enhancing public access to technology and resources. A key discussion point was the ongoing efforts of digital navigators, who are actively assisting patrons with technology-related inquiries and support, including setting up mobile applications and new devices.

In addition to technological advancements, the meeting addressed recent renovations at local facilities. Notably, the lower-level bathroom has been updated, and the main floor bathroom has been made compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), ensuring accessibility for all patrons.

Another significant initiative discussed was the development of a \"library of things.\" This innovative concept, which follows the successful introduction of a toy library in 2021, aims to provide community members with access to nontraditional items. The library of things will allow individuals to borrow items they may want to test before purchasing, cannot afford, or only need for a short period.
