Pompano launches ambitious redevelopment plan to transform city

A joint task force involving the Broward Sheriff's Office, FBI, ATF, and DEA resulted in 139 arrests, alongside the seizure of firearms and narcotics, aimed at enhancing public safety in the area.

The officials noted that proactive land acquisition by previous commissioners has positioned Pompano Beach to shape its own development narrative, preventing unchecked growth by external developers during the COVID-19 pandemic.
