School Board Proposes Innovative Vaping Policy Changes

During a recent board meeting, Dr. Matthew Parasau presented several key items focused on enhancing student success and addressing pressing issues within the district.

The first item discussed was the renewal of the optional flexible school day program, which aims to provide innovative educational options for students, including the Momentum High School initiative. This program allows students to attend classes at various times, accommodating those who may face scheduling conflicts, particularly with the Spring Early College Academy and Lone Star College's differing calendars.

Dr. Parasau also addressed the district's ongoing District of Innovation plan, which permits the district to create local policies by exempting itself from certain Texas education codes.
