Residents demand action against obstructive truck parking

Residents of Forney are raising concerns over traffic congestion caused by a neighbor's semi-truck parking on their street. During a recent government meeting, local resident Steve Dyer addressed the issue, highlighting the significant impact on daily traffic flow in the area.

Dyer, who lives on Glen Cove, explained that the truck routinely occupies about 80 to 85 feet of the north side of the street, creating a bottleneck for vehicles trying to navigate the neighborhood. He noted that the situation has worsened over the past year, with increased traffic on nearby 7:40, which serves as a critical access point to Highway 20. The congestion is particularly challenging for school buses and waste collection vehicles, complicating their routes.

Dyer has discussed the issue with neighbors and local law enforcement, seeking a resolution that does not involve retaliatory parking measures.
