Biden and Evers rally Wisconsin for crucial November election

In a recent government meeting, Wisconsin Governor Tony Ebers welcomed President Joe Biden, emphasizing the significant progress made under the Biden administration. Ebers highlighted Wisconsin's selection as a U.S. regional tech hub, a $50 million initiative expected to create thousands of jobs and stimulate billions in economic development. He noted the collaboration with Senator Tammy Baldwin in securing this designation.

Ebers also addressed the renegotiation of the Foxconn contract, which saved taxpayers approximately $2.77 billion, and announced a $330 million investment from Microsoft to develop advanced data systems in Mount Pleasant. This project is anticipated to generate thousands of construction jobs and position Wisconsin as a leader in artificial intelligence and advanced manufacturing.

The governor praised the Biden administration's efforts to improve infrastructure, including the replacement of a critical bridge between Duluth and Superior, which facilitates significant trade between the two states. Additionally, he reported that over 410,000 households and businesses will benefit from improved high-speed internet access due to investments from the American Rescue Plan Act.

Ebers contrasted the achievements of the Biden administration with the actions of Republican legislators during the pandemic, asserting that the American Rescue Plan helped rebuild Wisconsin's economy, support over 100,000 businesses, and provide assistance to thousands of households and farmers.

As the November elections approach, Ebers warned against the potential dangers posed by former President Donald Trump, describing him as a threat to democracy and highlighting concerns over his agenda, including a possible national abortion ban. He urged citizens to reflect on the values of democracy and the importance of their vote, framing the upcoming election as a pivotal moment for the state and the nation.
