Pittsburgh poised for biomanufacturing breakthrough with BioMaid

The board also discussed the establishment of a strategic plan for the Green Empowerment Zone, which is still in its early stages. They are exploring potential funding mechanisms and implementation strategies, with plans to hire a consultant to manage the development of the plan once the scope is finalized.

Additionally, the Lawrence Berkeley National Lab presented on its initiatives to support the renewable fuel industry, addressing state mandates and industry developments.
