Parks funding debate reveals hidden budget challenges

During a recent government meeting, officials discussed the allocation and management of funds within the Parks division, revealing a complex financial landscape for future projects. The meeting highlighted that approximately $1,000,000 in park funds has been carried over from previous years, with a current balance of about $32,000 earmarked for future infrastructure projects.

The fencing project has concluded, returning a small amount of $8.32 to the fund balance, while the restroom roof update has already incurred expenses of $7,600.
