Entrepreneurs unite for historic downtown business summit

During a recent government meeting, officials discussed a series of upcoming community events aimed at fostering local engagement and entrepreneurship. Notably, a significant entrepreneurial gathering is scheduled from May 29th to 30th, featuring classes held in historic downtown buildings. This event is expected to attract participants from across the state, including business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs, highlighting the importance of supporting local business initiatives.

In addition to the entrepreneurial event, the meeting also addressed the passing of Barry Schultz, a prominent figure in local governance who served as a city commissioner, county commissioner, and mayor of Lapeer throughout the 1980s. His visitation is set for September 6th, with a funeral service on September 7th, reflecting the community's respect for his contributions.

Several community events were also announced, including a food truck festival on September 9th at Anbar Park, and ongoing farmer's markets running until late October. The Michigan Downtown Day is scheduled for September 28th, and a haunted golf ghost tour is planned for October 4th and 5th, alongside a traditional treat walk on October 26th.
