Michigan Capitol Unveils Cutting Edge Preservation Technology

In a recent government meeting, officials celebrated the successful renovation of the Michigan State Capitol, highlighting the dedication of staff members involved in the project. Special commendations were given to Barb, a key figure in the renovation, and Anthony, who efficiently addressed unexpected issues during the scaffolding removal process.

The meeting also announced an upcoming workshop scheduled for this Friday at Heritage Hall, which will focus on the latest documentation technologies in historical preservation. Approximately 50 participants are expected to attend, representing the Association of Preservation Technology. The workshop will showcase advancements such as Building Information Modeling (BIM), which allows for detailed three-dimensional representations of the Capitol, enabling users to access real-time data about the building's conditions and historical artifacts.
