Community rallies to revive beloved fireworks tradition

During a recent government meeting, community members expressed a strong desire to reinstate the fireworks display, which has been absent due to funding issues and the loss of a suitable location. The installation of turf at Oak Park River Forest High School has eliminated the previous venue for the fireworks, as the turf is flammable and would require costly protective measures estimated at around $100,000.
