Weston gears up for spectacular 4th of July celebration

As hurricane season officially begins, residents of Weston are urged to prepare their homes and businesses for potential storms. The city has provided resources on its website, westonfl.org/hurricane, to help residents ensure they are ready. Additionally, residents are encouraged to register for city emergency notifications to stay informed during emergencies.

In celebration of Independence Day, Weston is gearing up for its annual 4th of July festivities. The celebrations will kick off with a fireworks display on Wednesday, July 3rd, starting at 6 PM in Regional Park. Attendees can expect a variety of activities, including a live concert by the Shane Duncan Band, interactive games, festive photo stations, and craft booths, culminating in a fireworks show at 9 PM.

On Thursday, July 4th, the city will host a 5K run/walk at 7:15 AM in Weston Town Center, with registration still open for participants. All finishers will receive a patriotic medal and a race t-shirt. The popular annual parade will commence at 10:30 AM, starting at the corner of Town Center Boulevard and 3 Village Road, proceeding down Main Street.

City administrative offices will be closed on July 4th in observance of the holiday, but regular garbage and recycling collection services will continue. City parks will close early at 6 PM.
