Red Thunder Robotics team makes history with world championship bid

During a recent session of the Michigan House of Representatives, several notable guests were recognized, highlighting community achievements and engagement. Representative Beeson introduced Brian Gallagher, a former president of the Academy of Physicians, who was visiting the House. Following this, Representative Coons welcomed Police Officer Bridal Gregory, who was job shadowing for the day.

The session also featured a significant acknowledgment of the Langsburg High School Red Thunder Robotics team, introduced by Representative Ernie Glue. The team has recently qualified for the prestigious robotics world championship competition in Houston, Texas, after winning the District Impact Award at Kettering. This achievement marks a historic moment for the team, as they are one of only five teams to secure this award, allowing them to compete at the state championship and earn their spot at the world championship for the first time.

Representative Glue praised the team's dedication and the pride they have brought to their community, urging his colleagues to join him in congratulating the Red Thunder Robotics team for their remarkable accomplishments.
