Utah launches ambitious plan to protect Great Salt Lake

In a recent government meeting, discussions centered on the establishment of the Sentinel Landscape program in Utah, aimed at enhancing military installation resiliency and environmental conservation. The initiative, which received state resolution support in 2023, is a collaborative effort involving the Department of Defense, Department of Agriculture, and Department of Interior, and seeks to address the challenges posed by urban development and wildlife habitat preservation around military operations.
