Code Violations Spark Controversy Over Unpermitted Driveway

In a recent code enforcement board meeting, officials addressed ongoing violations related to unpermitted driveway and parking area constructions at a residential property located at 150 North Devon Avenue, Winter Springs. The property owner, Michael Rice, faced scrutiny after it was revealed that no site construction permits had been issued for the driveway and designated parking area, which were reportedly added in 2021.

The board reviewed a series of inspections and communications dating back to February 2024, when a code violation notice was first sent to the property owner. Subsequent inspections confirmed that the property remained in violation, with no permits applied for since 2022. Despite previous applications, the permits had expired without being issued, leading to the current enforcement actions.
