Commissioner faces tough questions on pit bull spay initiative

During a recent government meeting, discussions centered around a grant aimed at spaying female pit bulls, a decision influenced by the prevalence of dog bites and health department quarantines associated with this breed. The commissioner mentioned that relief veterinarians would be brought in to manage the spaying procedures, although the timeline for the grant approval remains uncertain, with a deadline set for midnight Monday.
