City gears up for exciting summer concert series launch

The city has streamlined its social media strategy, retiring individual pages for departments like Public Works, which will now be integrated into the main city page. Parks and the Police Department will maintain their own social media channels due to their extensive outreach and community engagement efforts.

Additionally, the city is in the process of launching a new mobile application to facilitate service requests, replacing an outdated system that could not keep pace with technological advancements. This app is expected to be available within the next couple of months, although residents can currently access services through a less user-friendly website.

During the public comment segment, community member Terry Cook announced the kickoff of the summer concert series, inviting residents to the first event featuring the popular band Pride and Joy. The concert is set to take place this Sunday, marking an exciting start to the season's festivities.
