City orders demolition of hazardous property after years of neglect

During the meeting, staff recommended declaring the property a public nuisance and hazard, stating that repairs would be unreasonable. The board unanimously agreed, ordering the owner to either demolish the structure or appeal the decision to district court within 30 days. If no action is taken, the city may proceed with demolition.
