Community unites after historic fire disaster

In a recent government meeting, community leaders addressed the devastating impact of the largest recorded fire in Northwest Goshen County, which has affected numerous families across the region, including Torrington, South Torrington, and surrounding areas. While the fire resulted in significant economic and emotional losses, officials noted the fortunate absence of structural damage and loss of life.

Local leaders expressed gratitude to the firefighters and emergency responders who bravely battled the flames, highlighting the collaborative efforts of local fire departments, emergency medical services, and federal and state firefighters.
