Residents of Shoreline are calling for urgent improvements to pedestrian and cycling infrastructure along 175th Street, particularly in the Meridian Park neighborhood. During a recent government meeting, a local parent highlighted the dangers faced by families navigating the area, especially children crossing the busy Wallingford Avenue North to reach Meridian Park.

The speaker, a long-time resident, emphasized that the existing sidewalks are inadequate, with some sections measuring only 18 inches wide, posing significant safety risks.
