Students shine as Seacoast champions in track and field

During a recent government meeting, the Summersworth School Board celebrated the achievements of local student-athletes, highlighting their impressive performances in track and field. The event was marked by heartfelt speeches from board members and the athletic director, who praised the dedication and accomplishments of the young athletes.

Athletic Director Steve commended eighth-grader Abby for her outstanding performance in the high jump, where she secured the Seacoast championship with a jump of 4 feet 4 inches, despite it not being her personal best. He also recognized seventh-grader Dakota, who excelled in the shot put, winning the championship by a remarkable five feet with a throw exceeding 26 feet.

Board members expressed their pride in the athletes, emphasizing the importance of their achievements not only in sports but also academically.
