City launches major overhaul plan for struggling marina

As the city gears up for the transition, a dedicated team has been formed to assess operational needs, staffing requirements, and maintenance issues at the marina. Currently, four full-time employees are employed, but the city is evaluating how to manage staffing effectively during this transition. Concerns were raised about the bait shop, which is currently closed and may not reopen in its existing form. Discussions are underway with a potential new operator who could expand the facility's offerings to include a fish market and café.
