School district faces $1 million electricity bill crisis

The findings revealed that the borough of Chambersburg accounted for the largest share, costing the district $751,347.40. Other suppliers included West Penn at $79,133.80, Direct Energy at $220,100.43, and Pentec at $22,664.32, with additional costs from Guilford Township supervisors totaling $461.55. The cumulative total for electricity expenses reached approximately $1.1 million, representing 9.2 percent of the operation and maintenance budget for plant services this year.
