Luxury apartment rents soar to $3000 in new project

The representative noted that these rental prices would exceed the monthly mortgage payments of some homeowners in the vicinity, who have mortgages under $2,000. This disparity raises concerns about affordability in the area, particularly as the project aims to attract tenants with higher income levels.

The units are designed to be compact, with the two-bedroom, one-bath units measuring 800 square feet and the two-bedroom, two-bath units at about 1,150 square feet. The apartments will feature high-end amenities, including quartz countertops and premium appliances, reflecting a trend towards luxury living in the housing market.

The meeting also touched on infrastructure concerns, with a commissioner raising questions about a proposed roundabout, indicating ongoing discussions about the project's impact on local traffic and accessibility.
