Community leaders confront tragedy and resilience in public forum

During a recent council meeting in Rancho Cordova, community members expressed gratitude and shared poignant reflections on pressing social issues. Diane Rodgers, President and CEO of the Rancho Cordova Area Chamber of Commerce, praised the city’s Facilities team for their support during the 13th Annual Business Expo held on June 20. The event featured 65 booths, with over 40 employers hiring, and attracted approximately 400 attendees. Rodgers emphasized the importance of the city’s assistance in making the expo a success.

In a stark contrast, Amoria Perez delivered a powerful reading in memory of victims in occupied Palestine, highlighting the emotional toll of violence and loss. Her evocative words painted a vivid picture of tragedy, urging listeners to confront the harsh realities of the world rather than turning away.
