City plans controversial rezoning for multifamily development

Additionally, the meeting addressed a companion case involving a resurvey of lots on Capstone Court, specifically at 1300 Bryant Drive. This resurvey aims to consolidate lots six through eight into a single lot of approximately 0.16 acres, facilitating the proposed development without requesting any variances.

The zoning in the surrounding area primarily consists of RMF two U, aligning with the applicant's request, though some commercial zoning remains. The discussions highlighted the complexities of balancing residential development with the intended commercial character of the area, raising questions about future land use and community needs.
