Community celebrates Pride parade and plans welcoming week events

The Human Rights Commission (HRC) discussed the importance of adopting a proclamation for this event, which has not been formally recognized in the area since 2016. The HRC plans to integrate Welcoming Week activities with the Greater Morehead Days, scheduled for September 16, to enhance community participation.

After deliberation, the commission unanimously voted to adopt the proclamation for Welcoming Week, emphasizing its role in fostering a welcoming environment in Moorhead. The integration of the parade and Welcoming Week activities aims to strengthen community ties and promote inclusivity across the region.
