Grieving father demands fair treatment from golf club

After the passing of his son and subsequent health issues, he sought a full refund for the golf pass, arguing that the current policy unfairly penalizes those unable to use their memberships due to unforeseen circumstances. He requested either a complete refund or the reinstatement of his rights for the remainder of the year, emphasizing the need for a policy change to better accommodate similar situations in the future.

In a more positive vein, Makayla Anderson reported record attendance at Mountain View, highlighting the success of a recent initiative that allowed dogs in the facility. Over 1,600 visitors and more than 75 dogs participated, marking a significant increase in engagement compared to previous months.

Kim Wanek, representing the water volleyball club, expressed gratitude for the board's support during the refurbishment of their home pool at Oakmont. She acknowledged the temporary relocation to Marinette and praised the collaborative efforts of board members and operational teams in facilitating this transition, especially with an upcoming tournament scheduled for October 20.

Darla Akins raised concerns about the new guest pass policy, arguing that limiting guest visits would lead to a significant loss in revenue for the community.
