City plans cooling stations to combat rising summer heat

In a recent city council meeting, officials discussed the approval of a comprehensive local hazard mitigation plan aimed at reducing risks from potential hazards in Placentia. The plan, which underwent a thorough risk assessment and prioritization process involving various city departments and stakeholders, has received initial approval from FEMA and is set for formal adoption in May 2024.
