In a recent government meeting, discussions centered around a proposed design for a new residential building that aims to blend contemporary and traditional brownstone architecture. The design features sleek, larger windows and updated materials, creating spacious layouts with high ceilings and abundant natural light. The building is intended to house multiple apartment units across several floors, incorporating architectural elements such as facade breaks for shade and material transitions, which prevent a monotonous appearance.

However, concerns were raised regarding the scale of the building in relation to the surrounding neighborhood, which primarily consists of single-story and two-story structures. Critics noted that the proposed height and size could create a \"canyon effect,\" overwhelming the area and disrupting the existing architectural harmony.
