Community leaders push for funding to revive youth center

Additionally, Steven Robinson addressed the council, urging them to rectify a financial obligation dating back six years related to legal fees incurred by former city council candidates, including Mayor Watkins. He emphasized that state law mandates reimbursement for prevailing parties in legal disputes, regardless of whether the request was formally made at the time. Robinson estimated the outstanding amount to be around $12,000 and called on the city manager to address this issue, highlighting the importance of fulfilling the city’s obligations.
